Justin La Rose earned a Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Adler Graduate Professional School. He completed his clinical training at the McMaster Student Wellness Clinic, the Glendon Counselling Services at York University and an Outpatient Clinic at St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton. He has previously served as a staff psychotherapist at York University. Justin provides therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. His background and training have shaped his interest in promoting improved psychological health, interpersonal functioning and wellness. With compassion and understanding, he works with clients to help them build on their strengths and attain personal goals.
His areas of clinical interest include working with clients presenting with anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic disorder, depression, stress management, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, and borderline personality disorder. Justin's theoretical orientation draws heavily from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and psychodynamic traditions, although he offers an integrative and personalized approach tailored to each client.
Justin is described as a "talented therapist" and CBT-trained psychotherapist with over 15 years of clinical and research experience in psychology. Currently, Justin is in the process of satisfying the requirements to become a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and his practice is supervised by Dr. Paul Kelly, a licensed Clinical Psychologist.
